HOW TO REMOVE MAXI COSI Prezi WHEN STUCK

I felt compelled to write this after reading the many warnings about these adapters. We own the Maxi Cosi Prezi (newest model) and the car seat became stuck to the adapters upon first trial. We first turned to Google and the "pictures only" instructions for answers. Everything seemed to point to pressing two small grey buttons to remove the car seat. Problem is, our car seat, being the newest Maxi Cosi, doesn't have these buttons! After 20 minutes of frustrating pulling, tugging and pressing the larger white buttons over and over again we finally called customer service at Bugaboo. They seemed baffled at first too, but finally came back with a solution after trying an available car seat onto these adapters. You have to pull out the grey release bar on the back of the car seat (this is the same bar you pull to release the car seat from the maxi cosi base). Hope this helps you if you find yourself stuck as we (and many others!) did. My husband was so happy when they released! One other thing, the car seat does sit at a slight tilting forward angle which is concerning for neck support. I'm not sure how to fix this. We may not even use these and stick to our bassinet in the beginning.

After reading all the reviews I was troubled to order this product. I decided to take a chance since the car seat I Owen is the MAXI COSI MICO. The instruction manual says, "THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO PLACE THE CHILD IN TH SEAT. THE CHILD'S RIGHT HAND SIDE IS THE LEFT SIDE OF THE SEAT.PLACE THE ADAPTER MARKED L ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE SEAT. These instructions can confuse people. When placing your baby is in the car seat -The side that is marked with a R should go into the side where the baby's right hand is. The side marked L should go into the side where the baby's left hand is. And when you are facing the car seat its vise versa your left side should have the Right adapter in place and your right side should have the left adapter. The only reason why I marked this four stars is since its quality is a bit to junky meaning very plasticy.
